Road Trips for Model-T's


Automobiles have come a long way in the century and more they have been around. Henry Ford changed the way we travel with his reasonably priced, rugged, assembly line made vehicles beginning in 1914. As strange at it may seem, some of those early Fords are still on the road as the traffic on West Walnut in Rogers showed this afternoon. The two I saw were no doubt part of the Show Me Tour of the Model T Ford Club of America taking place in Rogers this weekend. These Model T's no longer come in basic black (Ford was popularly quoted to have said you could have your car in any color you liked, as long as it was black); one of the antique cars I saw was a deep maroon.
